The Association of Chinese American Professors (ACAP)

About us

The University of Georgia Association of Chinese American Professors (UGA-ACAP; UGA华人教授协会) was founded in 2021. The mission of UGA-ACAP includes:

• To promote interactions among its members;

• To exchange ideas on how to better thrive at UGA and how to excel as an educator, researcher, and community contributor;

• To serve as a support network and promote the interests of its members that are consistent with the mission of the university;

• To promote academic cooperation and cultural exchange between Chinese educational and research institutions and UGA; 

• To collaborate with and provide support to functions and activities of the UGA Chinese Students and Scholars Association; 

• To facilitate communications, exchange, and cooperation with academic associations similar to UGA-ACAP throughout the country;

• To raise UGA’s profile in Chinese communities and the understanding of Chinese culture in UGA.
